Daniel Herman was struck by the beauty of traditional lace when he had the chance to visit the archives of lacemaker Forster Rohner from St. Gall, Switzerland.
A modern interpretation of lace was created by digitalizing an original design from Forster Rohner, reducing it to two layers to create a cast by rapid prototyping. As casting compound liquid latex was used.
